Tiger Woods on Fire

By February 24, 2021Uncategorized

Tiger Woods went sailing down a steep curvy road in Rancho Palos Verdes, California Tuesday morning shortly after 7 a.m. PT. Of course he did. He was in a hurry for a photo shoot with two great NFL quarterbacks, Drew Brees and Justin Herbert, and he was running a bit late. Haven’t we all done this when we were late?

Unfortunately he lost control of his beautiful Genesis SUV and careened over the median and “veered across two lanes of road before hitting a curb, hitting a tree and landing on its side in the brush.” And he was seriously injured, shattering his lower right leg and ankle. The police officer on the scene of the crash said he was fortunate to have survived.

Tiger Woods is driven. It is what makes him such a great golfer, undoubtedly the best ever. His Sidereal Astrology birth chart and Planetary Blueprint reflect this.

Tiger’s Mars is very strong, Mars in its highest vibration is dynamism, an overcome-all-obstacles energy. Adventure, risk-taking, fire.

And in transit (in the cosmos right now, as above so below) Mars just moved into the same sign, Taurus the Bull, as Tiger’s Mars, Sunday night adding fuel to his fire.

Also, Tiger entered his Mars maha-dasha (great cycle) last June 13 further activating it in his energy field right now. At the time of his crash, for you astrology buffs, he was in the energy field (dasha field which indicates which planets are strongest in a person’s life right now) of Mars Rahu Jupiter Rahu Ketu. Of course, being in Mars maha-dasha, Mars shows up first and is strongest in this field.

Rahu is the rebel and was in second and fourth position in his energy field. Rahu is that part of us all that wants to break free of stagnation and boredom, that wants change, new adventures and challenges. Rahu amplifies whatever it touches, it is about desire and destiny, and in Tiger’s birth chart Rahu is right next to his Mars, within 22 degrees, amplifying his spirit of adventure and risk-taking. So, Mars in transit as it entered Taurus activated his Rahu as well.

And then, notice Ketu at the end of this spread. Ketu is about loss. Loss on the material level but gain on the spiritual level.

But also notice Jupiter in the middle of this spread. He was in a hurry for a noble purpose, to serve, and out of consideration for the people he was meeting and the show they were producing. Tiger’s Jupiter is very strong in its own house of Pisces. And what does that mean? Selfless service. Fairness, justice, equality, balance, big picture awareness. In other words, the Tiger Woods foundation, the foundation he and his father established in 1996 “to create and support community-based programs that improve the health, education, and welfare of all children in America.”

When you balance these Jupiterian qualities with his powerful, firey Mars you have a powerful force for good in the world.

And yes, Tiger too has his shadow side, but who doesn’t? But for right now we won’t dwell on those.

To delve deeper into who this extraordinary Being is, let’s take a look at where all of the planets fall in Tiger’s Planetary Blueprint.

Tiger’s Mars governs his Primal Desire nature, the desire for self-sufficiency and power, influence. In other words, independence.

His Spiritual Nature is governed by the Moon, the doorway of Bhakti, the path of the Heart. Think bhajans, kirtan, devotion and all of the things that open and uplift the heart, like cute puppy dogs, children, anything that is hugely heart opening and makes us feel our interconnectedness with all that is.

His Relating Style is governed by Jupiter. This means he is giving, serving and balanced in his way of relating in the world, the way he speaks, the way he interacts with people.

His Career Nature is governed by the Sun. Think leadership. The king.

Tiger’s field of Creative Play, how he recreates, is governed by Saturn, of course. The body. Physical activities like golf. And, also the opposite of physical activity, basking in beauty.

His Dharma is that of a Venusian Brahman as Venus rules this field. Dharma is life purpose and the life purpose of a Venusian Brahman is to bring new knowledge, new perspectives, new energy to the world. Tiger’s huge success on the PGA tour transformed the golf world and made it much more popular with much bigger prize money and sponsorship dollars. He became a household name. Even people who don’t follow golf have heard of Tiger Woods. He inspires and uplifts whatever he touches.

And the way that Tiger projects his energy into the world, which is known as his field of Mental Health, his Vital Body, is governed by the planet Mercury which means he projects adaptability, flexibility, and a keen, perceptive intelligence.

From almost all I have read and seen of Tiger Woods all of this totally fits. And, of course, we all make mistakes. Seriously.

We are appreciating you Tiger Woods and all that you bring to the world! Heal well!
